Real and Virtual devices are further classified into following three categories:
Unknown Device – In this category, the device type is not available. Hence the Device Type field remains empty in the Asset Property window. However, the device type can be assigned from the Asset Property window.
Empty Device – When a device is plotted manually using the Spiral menu, an empty device is plotted with no details. Properties can be assigned to this device using key search or by assigning a make and model.
Trivial Devices – On the Spiral menu, there are few icons which are not considered for MPS design. Such devices are called trivial devices. For example - Lock, Notes, Photo, and User.
